Topic: The Palestinian Cause Amidst the Decline of the Arab Spring and the Islamophobic Rhetoric
This session will discuss two issues; (1) whether the Arab people have abandoned Palestine as their central cause, and whether this is even possible especially after the anti-revolutions wave that caused so many painful wounds in the Arab Ummah’s body, (2) the connection between Islamophobia and Zionism, and our role, as a community, to stand up against bigotry and injustice.
The Annual MAS-ICNA Convention is one of the largest and most diverse Islamic conventions in North America. The convention take place in Chicago, Illinois every December during the winter holiday season.
