On the authority of Ibn Umar (RA) who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took hold of my shoulder and said, ‘Be in the world as if you were a stranger or a traveler along the path.” And Ibn Umar would say, “If you survive till late afternoon, do not expect [to be alive in] the morning. If you survive till morning, do not expect [to be alive in] the late afternoon. Take from your health before your sickness and your life before you death.” [Al-Bukhari]
Living with the understanding of this dunya’s transience is an important trait of a Muslim’s character. We must plant seeds in this life that will harvest their fruit in both this life and, most importantly, in the hereafter.

The Annual MAS-ICNA Convention is one of the largest and most diverse Islamic conventions in North America. The convention take place in Chicago, Illinois every December during the winter holiday season.
