Topic: Lessons from Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ Diplomacy
Living in a pluralistic society poses the challenge of being able to deal with all factions of the diverse society in a way that allows you to keep up with your faith mandates while staying diplomatic enough to take the following Ayah into practice “...and we made you of nations and tribes so you can know each other” [Quran: 49:13]. How did Prophet Muhammad ﷺ strike this balance as an example for Western Muslims living in pluralistic societies? He used to deal as a leader/governor with others of different religions and backgrounds following their customs. Diplomacy needs senses of hospitality, courage in assessing reality, and confidence in core values that place you in a competitive seat while dealing with others.

The Annual MAS-ICNA Convention is one of the largest and most diverse Islamic conventions in North America. The convention take place in Chicago, Illinois every December during the winter holiday season.
