The Prophet (salla'Allaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said, "Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the worst of false tales; and do not look for the others' faults and do not spy, and do not be jealous of one another, and do not desert (cut your relation with) one another, and do not hate one another; and O Allaah's worshipers! Be brothers (as Allaah has ordered you!")

Narrated that Abu Barzah al-Aslami said: "The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: 'O you who have spoken the words of faith but faith has not truly entered your hearts! Do not backbite about the Muslims, and do not seek out their faults. For whoever seeks out their faults, Allaah will seek out his faults, and if Allaah seeks out a person's faults He will expose him even in his own house.'" Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 4083. Ahmad (19277) and Abu Dawood (4880)

Narrated Ash-sha'bi: The clerk of Al-Mughira bin Shu'ba narrated, "Muawiya wrote to Al-Mughira bin Shu'ba: Write to me something which you have heard from the Prophet (salla'Allaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) ." So Al-Mughira wrote: I heard the Prophet saying, "Allaah has hated for you three things:1. Vain talks, (useless talk) that you talk too much or about others. 2. Wasting of wealth (by extravagance) 3. And asking too many questions (in disputed religious matters) or asking others for something (except in great need). Sahih Bukhari Volume 002, Book 024, Hadith Number 555

Shaykh Al-Albaani:
"I advise you not to busy your young mind with memorising that which will of a certainty not benefit you and which may harm you, [it may not harm you] for a certainty, but it may [nevertheless] harm you.

Don't memorise the statements of so and so, and so and so, and so and so, and so and so, [people who] you think are more than likely not on the Straight Path with us--because you have not been commissioned to refute everyone who makes a mistake."
