Seerah 103 - The 1st Rightful Khalifah of Islam Part 1: Incident of the Scrolls ~ Dr. Yasir Qadhi

The Khilafah of Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq (raḍyAllāhu ‘anhu) as the first legitimate Khalifah of Islam is one that is drenched in much controversy between different groups of Islam.

The same narration of hadith are interpreted and understood differently by opposing sides to bring about a completely contrasting conclusion.

One such hadith is during the final sickness of the Prophet (ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam), an incident occurred known as 'The Incident of Thursday' or 'The Incident of the Scroll', in which the Prophet (ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) asked for a scroll and ink to be brought to him supposedly to write down the name of the first rightful Khalifah of Islam!
