How should a new #Muslim approach Ramadan, and in particular, fasting? Dr. Shabir Ally recommends that new Muslims try out fasting and see what they can endure. They can go a bit longer without eating each day until they can master the whole day. He cautions that they should take it easy and do as much as they are able. The Quranic principle is that God does not hold a person responsible beyond what they can bear. He advises new Muslims learn more about their faith in Ramadan as an act of devotion to #God.
