Pearls from the Qur'an (Ramadan 2017 Khatirahs Part 17): Protecting the Tongue

In today's Khatirah, Shaykh Dr Yasir Qadhi delivers an important reminder about Verse 63, from Surah Al-Furqan. “And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace,” {25:63}

The believers are peaceful. Indeed they are successful, those who are humble in their prayers, and those who turn away from vain talk. Turning away from such actions are key characteristic of the righteous and the believers. Their tongues do not get involved in that which will bring harm or in that which is of no use to them.

The Prophet(SAW) said: “Whoever guarantees me two things, I guarantee him paradise”
