One Word with Adam Jamal - Daraba - Ep 12 (Season 2)

Daraba, Surah Al-Kahf, Ayah 11

When Allah tells the story of the People of the Cave, He describes putting them to sleep, saying "we beat their ears”. The word daraba means "to beat". Here Allah is painting a picture of a mother who pats her child gently on the ears so he can sleep in peace. This should teach us that when we go through difficult times we must have absolute confidence that Allah is affectionate towards us and would never abandon us in our time of need.
