YM Chicago presents: "Modesty - The Missing Element" with Br Nouman Ali Khan

* We do apologize for echo.

Young Muslims (YM) of Chicago had this special session with Nouman Ali Khan after Isha at Islamic Foundation in Villa Park, IL on Saturday, July 10th, 2010.

This was open for brothers and sisters of all ages.

The main topic of the night was Haya (Modesty). Haya plays a huge role in the lives of Muslims because it is a very important part of our Iman (faith/belief). If we do not have any form of haya within us then it is most likely that our Iman is very weak. For as it states in the following hadith:

Narrated by Abu Huraira (ra): The Prophet said, "Faith (Belief) consists of more than sixty branches (i.e. parts). And Haya is a part of faith." (Bukhari)

About YM

Young Muslims is a national grassroots organization that has been on the scene since the early 1990s, and is dedicated to addressing the vital roles the Muslim youth should play in North America. With different programs attuned to the youths' critical stage in life, YM seeks to address real-life problems and give the support needed to live our lives as dedicated Muslim youth. At this age where temptations are on the rise and flagrant behavior encouraged, Young Muslims attempts to counteract these influences by challenging the youth to take the best of all paths in both this world and in the Hereafter
