In this episode of Lives of The Khulafaa, Shaykh Dr Yasir Qadhi covers the life of Sa’eed Ibn Zayd, one of the ten that was promised Jannah(Paradise).To begin with, one of the most intriguing and influential character of Pre-Islam, was indeed his father, Zayd Ibn Amr Ibn Nufayl. Zayd was one of the most famous Hunafaa before the coming of Islam, a small group of Quraysh who rejected the Idolatry of the society. They chose to worship Allah(SWT) instead.
Sa'eed Ibn Zayd was from the earliest group of converts. Ibn Ishaaq states that he was part of a group that converted right after Abu Bakr As-Siddiq’s group. Sa'eed converted to Islam when he was approximately between 14-15 years old. In fact, he was already married at the time because everyone would be married young back then. His wife was Fatimah Bint-Al-Khataab, the younger sister of Umar Ibn-Al-Khataab. She was indeed one of the earliest female converts, probably the first convert after Khadijah. Sa'eed came running home and informed his wife, Fatimah about the religion of Islam, therefore she decided to convert and become a Muslim
