Knowledge Retreat: Treaty of Hudaibiyah: Short term Sacrifices | Suhaib Webb #MASCON2017

The Treaty of Hudaibiyah is a deep, pivotal milestone in the seerah. At a time when Islam was rapidly flourishing, it seemed that the treaty was a crushing blow to the companions. This session will focus on how the Prophet managed the expectations of the companions and dealt with their reaction, the role of his wife, Umm Salamah in her consultation, and the decision to delay instant gratification through patience that would be rewarded in the future.

The Annual MAS-ICNA Convention is one of the largest and most diverse Islamic conventions in North America. The convention takes place in Chicago, Illinois every December during the winter holiday season.
