Khutbah: The Trials of this Ummah and the Help of Allah ~ Dr. Yasir Qadhi | 16th May 2014

The Muslim Ummah today is undergoing a series of crises the likes of which we have not seen in the previous centuries of Islam. The Muslim Ummah is being attacked from many different fronts and when we look at what is happening in the Ummah a sense of despair and overwhelming grief may take over us and it is possible that our faith in Allah (swt) is shaken. When will the help of Allah (swt) come?

Our Lord answers this question in his holy book "...do you think that you will enter Paradise while such (trial) has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until (even their) messenger and those who believed with him said," When is the help of Allah?" Unquestionably, the help of Allah is near." ~ [Surat al-Baqarah, verse 214]

In this Khutbah given at the Islamic University of Malaysia in front of over ten thousand people Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi sheds light on some of the wisdoms of why Allah (swt) is testing this Ummah with such extreme trials and how we can attain the Help of Allah (swt).
