Khutbah: Signs of Day of Judgement & Local Civil Rights Issues ~ Dr. Yasir Qadhi | 15th August 2014

A day that will be equivalent to 50,000 years long where all from among Man & Jinn will stand in front of Allah and account for their actions in this world.

Our Prophet (ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) told us of many signs of the Day of Judgement, the last of the minor signs will be the coming of the Mahdi (‘alayhi’l-salām) and thereafter the 10 major signs of the Day of Judgement will commence and this will be the end of times.

What is the significance of the signs of the Day of Judgement? Are all the signs of the Day of Judgement necessarily evil/bad? What signs have already occurred or are occurring in our times?

In the second half of the khutba the Shaykh discusses the recent incident of police brutality in Ferguson and how and why that is relevant to the American Muslim community.
