Last year, the provincial government unanimously passed an act, officially recognizing the month of October as Islamic Heritage Month. Neethan Shan, Toronto city councillor for Ward 42, partnered with various Muslim organizations to help promote events commemorating Islamic Heritage Month. We sit down and talk to Councillor Neethan Shan about the importance of recognizing and celebrating Islamic Heritage Month.
