Representing the Muslim perspective was Basel Al-Khabass, Head of straight path islam, an organisation based in the town of Middlesbrough in the North East of England.

The Purpose of Straight Path Islam to educate non muslims on islam from an islamic perspective and dispel any misconceptions

Also, they aim to create a better understanding and bring all the members of Middlesbrough community, regardless of their faith closer together.


Having spent 5 years in " dawah " (inviting to islam) this will be his first public debate

Representing the Christian side was Mr Luke Plant, Mr Plant trained at London Theological Seminary for two years, where studied theology and the bible, including greek and Hebrew, before he did a BA and Msc in Natural Sciences at Cambridge university

Luke now is the youngest elder and Assistant pastor at Christ Church in bradford, his church are hoping that one day, he will be a preacher and pastor overseas.
