British born reciter of the Holy Qur'aan, student in the the faculty of Sharee'ah at Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Saudi Arabia.
Biography.

Qari' Muhammad 'Uthman Al-Qasim grew up in the city of Bradford where he completed his primary, secondary and higher education. He completed his memorisation of the Holy Qur'aan in the short period of two months at Jam'iyyah Al-Muhaafadhah 'alal-Qur'aanil Kareem in Zarqaa', Jordan, in 2004/1425AH.

Following his completion of memorisation, Qari Muhammad 'Uthman was given the opportunity to undertake Qur'anic Studies at the prestigious Umm-Al-Quraa University in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.

Qari' Muhammad 'Uthman is currently studying Sharee'ah (Islamic Law) & the science of Al-Qiraa'aat under the well known Syrian scholar Shaykh Muhammad Nabhan in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.

Qari' Muhammad 'Uthman's first experience of leading Taraweeh prayer was in 1998 in the UK. He continued to lead Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan in various countries including the United States, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. His recordings are available worldwide. In 2007 Qari' Muhammad 'Uthman was appointed Imam of Masjid Al-Qattaan in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, where he lead Taraweeh and night prayers. In 2010 he undertook the position of Imam and Khateeb at the Muslim Community Centre in Surrey, London.

Since 1999 to date, Qari' Muhammad 'Uthman has taught Qur'anic Recitation as well as Arabic Language, holding private and public classes through Islamic centres and online for memorising the Qur'aan and 'the art of recitation'.
