With over 400 people turning up to celebrate some of the successes Ebrahim College (EC) enjoyed since its inception, the dinner was truly another winner. The programme included inspirational speeches from leading speakers including Dr Abdal Hakim Murad and the renowned Sheikh Salman al-Husaini al-Nadwi.

With an exceptional three course meal and light entertainment, the evening saw some testimonials from its secondary school children (Ebrahim Academy) and its sixth-form. Further, children aged 5-6 years (Rashidun) performed a small role play. The programme also celebrated EC's ten recent graduates who were awarded an ijaazah (permission to transmit hadith) by Sheikh Salman al-Husaini al-Nadwi. Parents and teachers are very proud of them and pray for their future success.

Ebrahim College's supporters including Khalid Chaudhry, Mamun Uddin and Barrister Rizwan Hussain said a few words to show their continued support. Br Rizwan opened the programme by saying, "This is a very important evening not just for the students of Ebrahim College but for the staff and those who have over the many years continuously supported the work of Ebrahim College." This was followed by a brief history of Ebrahim College by Sheikh Shams Ad Duha, one of the founding trustees and currently Director of Academic Development.

Hafiz Muhammad Mushfique Uddin, founding trustee and currently the chief executive officer, closed the programme formerly, by thanking all the guests and their support. He said "The idea was to get people related to the college and to celebrate and to appreciate what we've achieved since we started in 2003 and we couldn't be here today without the support of everybody who's here today and especially the support of our staff some who have left us and moved on but their hearts is still with the College and our first group of students."

An attendee at the programme said, "Alhamdulillah, the annual dinner was very good. Comparing to others that I have been for a long time - this one was far better. Jazakallah to the brothers who organised it!"
