Two years ago, Asmaa Hussein’s life changed forever. Her husband, Amr Kassem, was shot and killed while attending a peaceful protest in Egypt in 2013. Asmaa became a widow at 27, and a single mother of their nine month-old daughter. She recently released her book: A Temporary Gift: Reflections on Love, Loss and Healing; a compilation of her personal reflections that helped her cope through this tragedy in her life.
