Many people worship idols, others venerate the dead and many in our times live a hedonistic lifestyle and have taken their desires as a god besides Allāh (subḥānahu wa ta'āla).

The essence of being a Muslim is to negate veneration to every other false deity and submit oneself wholeheartedly only to Allāh (subḥānahu wa ta'āla) the most high.
